So I have this small obsession with wandering the isles of dollar stores or big box craft stores looking for items to reclaim and upcycle. These items are inevitably soulless and aesthetically challenged. I like to resurrect the hopelessly tacky ballerina doll and turn her into dark and meaningful art. Gesso, a dremel, and a blow torch are my favorite weapons of resurrection.. Enjoy..

I haven't been keeping my usual visual journal much at all this year. But I have been sketching, doodling, and generally playing with pens more since taking Theo's class at Artfest. I have really been enjoying it and feel like there are some new interesting images coming to me. I think some of these images may become collage paintings at some point. So not much to say but wanted to share some new visual fun...
